چکیده
Calligonum comosum Family Polygonaceae is a perennial shrub that grows in the desert areas Saudi Arabia. The plant extensively used for economic purposes and traditional medicine. tanning hides wound. current study aims to provide scientific evidence wound healing potential. was extracted with methanol at room temperature water by decoction against two Gram-positive bacterial strains; Bacillus subtilis Staphylococcus aureus, Gram-negative strains, Escherichia coli Klebsiella pneumonia, addition pathogenic fungus Candida albicans. extract were formulated as creams applied evaluate potential using rats experimental animals. more active antimicrobial testing accelerating of wounds than extract. Wound accessed via morphological parameters such contraction, epithelization period detailed well histopathological healed skin. completely control group treated Fucidin 2% cream after 18 days, while reached 96.6% contraction same period. much less gays resulted only 73.2% contraction. Skin samples showed improvement almost normal appearance content collagen fibers, although slight weakness near epidermis layer observed. obtained results strongly document beneficial effects C. activator reveal best method extraction plant.

Introduction: The present study used a histological evaluation method to examine the effects of pentoxifylline (PTX) on healing an experimentally-induced pressure sore in a rat model. Materials and Methods: There were 36 adult male rats used in this study. Under general anesthesia and sterile conditions, we used forceps to create one pressure sore on each rat. A double layer of folded skin...
متن کاملThe Effects of Topical Sildenafil on Wound Healing in Rat
Nitric oxide (NO) is an important molecule synthesized during wound repair. Studies have reported the use of NO donors on cutaneous wound repair, but their effects in different phases of healing are not elucidated. The aim of this work was to investigate the effects of topical sildenafil on wounds in rats. Sildenafil (25 mg) was topically applied once daily on wound in treatment groups. On...
متن کاملWound Healing Potential of Intermittent Negative Pressure under Limited Access Dressing in Burn Patients: Biochemical and Histopathological Study
BACKGROUND Malondialdehyde (MDA) is an oxidant that causes damage to membranes, DNA, proteins, and lipids at the cellular level. Antioxidants minimize the effects of oxidants and thus help in formation of healthy granulation tissues with higher level of hydroxyproline and total protein. This study compared the effect of limited access dressing (LAD) with conventional closed dressing biochemica...
